In the wild world of reality television, few shows have captured my attention and heart quite like “Love is Blind.” I have watched it from its commencement and enjoy the show immensely. The show, as you can see, drives participants into an unconventional dating experiment, where they embark on a journey to find love without ever seeing their potential partners – crazy right, but I love it. To date, by far, my favorite couple is Brett and Tiffany as a strong black couple. This season has definitely stirred up some negative opinions on my part, where I believe some persons in Season 6 are just here for the fame and do not take people’s life or them trying to find love seriously. However, the most appalling thing for me in the entire time I have been watching the show is the rollercoaster romance between Clay and AD. Clay’s behavior toward AD was absolutely disappointing.

From the start, Clay surfaced as a charming and charismatic figure; he sure drew my attention from a viewer’s perspective. Effortlessly, his connection with AD seemed to blossom, with their conversations filled with laughter, shared interests, and a palpable sense of chemistry. However, there was one thing that lingered in the back of my mind, and it was his need to see her physically before committing to her. Knowing that the show is about emotional connections and limiting all physical distractions, at first. Despite that, as the pods recall the affirmation of love and promises of forever, it appeared that Clay and AD were on the verge of something special.

Amidst the tornado of emotions and promising relationships, the truth was revealed in Clay’s seemingly perfect disguise. In a moment of vulnerability, he exposed to AD that his father’s disapproval weighed heavily on his mind, casting a shadow of doubt over their budding romance. He mentioned he was scared of cheating on AD as his father did to his mom in the past. But personally, I believe for him to use his father as an excuse seemed like an evasion. Communication is key in relationships, and Clay’s actions didn’t seem fair to AD. Clay struggled to confront his own fears and insecurities, choosing instead to distance himself from AD rather than confront the underlying issues. But this is where the issue lies, waiting until he gets her to the altar to state what I believe he knew he would not say “I do” from the outset. This left me bitter toward Clay for days, waiting for The Reunion.

So The Reunion comes around, and now Clay acknowledging his mistake shows maturity and accountability, which are important traits in any relationship. My mindset of him changed totally, and I am now in a place where I feel he deserved a second chance. His acknowledging his mistake is a positive step towards understanding and potentially repairing any damage caused. It also opens up the opportunity for honest communication and growth between the two. And while I understand AD is hurt, I hope she can forgive him and give this true love a chance to blossom further.

    Hey Simone!!!!!!

    I agree!
When I watched season 6 of Love is Blind, I thought Clay and AD would be a perfect match like everyone else….. But then Clay kinda lost me when he asked AD about her appearances.

I definitely did not like Matthew!! lol. He made me cringe for an entire episode…

I haven’t watched the reunion yet, but I am looking forward to seeing what it’s all about!!

I have a question for you…. are you bold enough to go on a show like this? Or would you recommend it to someone?

Thanks Keke ❤️… I don’t think I’m brave enough to be on a public platform like that but definitely would if it was not so public and ofcourse encourage persons to try it. Sometimes persons focus sorely on physical appearance and loose out on that genuine emotional connection that will bring love and happiness.

I felt many of the same things, watching Clay continuously speak about his lack of readiness for marriage but still waiting until the altar to say no. AD has to take accountability herself, ignoring all the red flags. For example, a man who really wants you is not spending all that time at work and making no adjustments to his schedule.

My mind however, is absolutely not changed about him after the Reunion. I believe he is just trying to keep the bond between them going and the best way to that is to say the buzz word ‘therapy’ and say ‘this is the love of his life’. No Clay, I don’t believe you’re making real changes but do want to save your public image.

Amber and Clay have issues, but I’m rooting for them.
